You can get started by using the easy to follow Wizard to create a great looking RiadaCartel project.
The background, borders, fonts, color, effects and other features can all be set using the Wizard.
You can step through the Tutorials in the Help.
You can open the projects in the "Tutorial" and "Samples" directory under the installation directory for ideas of what can be done in RiadaCartel.
You can preview the project in your chosen browser.
You can explicitly set the browser that you wish to preview your project with, by changing it in the "Tools|Options..." command.
You can jump to a Web site by using the URL effect in the Wizard.
Rio stands for (Riada Internet Objects), and also some place in South America.
Because RiadaCartel uses Rio technology, multiple Rios can be put on the one HTML page and communicate with each other.
You don't have to know Java to use it when you use Riada products.
You should apply the URL effect as the first effect for a text message to ensure that the jump is active for the total duration of the text message.
You can embed expressions into your messages by enclosing them in {}.
You can display the current time and date by embedding functions such as "Date()" and "Time()" in your messages.

In Expert mode, the Design view allows you to visually design advanced features such as interactively jumping to other Web sites, using the Internet action.
You can add actions to an event by dragging actions in the Design view.

You can add audio to a RiadaCartel project by adding an Audio action in Expert mode.
Programming visually can be great fun.
You can send messages to the browser's status line by adding an Output action in Expert mode.
Control another Rio by inserting a reference to a Rio from the Edit|Insert Rio... menu. The inserted Rio's actions will now become available for the main Rio to use!
When your project makes reference to multiple Rios that communicate, remember to individually name them in EACH project.
You can add a Timer action in Design view to display messages, audio, etc. at specific times.
You can use multiple user events, and determine which one has been called, by using the "event" variable.
You can use multiple fonts in your project by adding a Font action in Design view.
